Whiteleaf Win Latest 5-a-side Tournament
At the most recent of our five-a-side football tournaments on the 25th June 2006 newcomers from Whiteleaf Cottage won the day.
Captain of the Whiteleaf team - Steve - led a team comprising a fellow service user and staff. Accepting the trophy from the last winning captain – Laura, Steve thanked everybody for joining in and supporting the tournament. He also promised to come back with his team to defend their title next time.
Tony Vallis - Director of Care - complimented those taking part for the highest quality of football yet seen in the 4 years of the tournament.
Tony added that the skills on show of many of the players certainly suggests we could now have a side representing Cartref Homes challenging teams from other organisations - so watch this space!
