Staff Meeting – Sheltered Employment Scheme
The Sheltered Employment Scheme had its first staff meeting on the 19th May 2016. It was held at the resource centre and was well attended by those employed under the Scheme.
The employees had some valid points to put across to their peers ranging from a change in job roles to pay increases, they also discussed a night out in the summer for everyone to get together and enjoy some of the benefits the scheme has to offer.
The peers also spoke about an upcoming open day for the Sheltered Employment Scheme, this is to promote and make others aware of what we do and take the opportunity to discuss any potential job roles, hearing first-hand the values of working within this environment and how to start and maintain meaningful relationships within their place of work.
I was very pleased to announce the winner of the employer of the month award to Neil Gibbs, this is Neil’s second time of winning, he was awarded the prize back in February 2016. Well done Neil – keep up the good work.
All the service users said they had a productive meeting and the next one will be held in 3 months’ time.
